Having A Karaoke Machine Can Be Fun

Believe it or not, everyone thinks that the Japanese were the first ones who came up with the idea of something like a karaoke machine. And although it is true that they did popularize it and made it something that everyone had personal access to, the original concept was actually started in the United States.

Back in the 1960's NBC came up with the idea to get their TV audience to sing a long with popular songs of the day. They would have words to songs run across the TV screen while the music was playing. To help guide their viewers, they would follow a bouncing ball, that hopped to each word to let the viewer know when to go onto the next word.

Today, you can probably find a bar or lounge or several in just about any city you go to in the United States and countless other countries. So what makes karaoke and karaoke machines so popular?
